Lycra ® For the third consecutive year, the LYCRA® brand is proud to be a part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim, where the brand will celebrate the continued success of its latest revolution in swim: Xtra Life LYCRA® fabric. This season, the brand will use the Miami event to speak directly to the consumer by putting fabulous fitting swimwear into the hands of real women.

A well-known fashion expert from reality television will join the LYCRA® brand in creating a twoday interactive fashion experience focused on fit, which consumer research has identified as the most important consideration of women purchasing new swimsuits. The revolutionary Xtra Life LYCRA® fabric addresses this issue, offering unsurpassed fit and shape retention that resists bagging and sagging. On July 10th LYCRA® will take this message to the consumer, combing Miami Beach and targeting women in need of a swim makeover for a better fitting suit. “Xtra Life LYCRA® Fits the Beach” will be a guerilla style fit clinic – bringing real solutions to real women and showcasing the 2007 collections from key swim brands such as Becca, Betsey Johnson, Red Carter and Shan, all of whom use the Xtra Life LYCRA® fabric to give their swimsuits a superb fit.

The LYCRA® brand also will stage the event’s only group showing on July 11th at 9pm. This “Runway Reality” fashion show will feature 2008 swimwear collections from top designers using Xtra Life LYCRA® fabric in their designs. And, for the first time ever, the show will feature real women, as makeover winners from the previous day’s fit event will join the models strutting their stuff on the catwalk.
